FindingSquash
The Squash Federation of Africa (SFA) and FindingSquash have forged a landmark partnership to drive squash development and growth across Africa. This strategic collaboration focuses on key areas, including:
- Promoting Squash Development: Boosting the sport’s growth and participation across the continent
- Talent Identification and Development: Discovering and nurturing young talent to compete at elite levels
- Infrastructure Development: Supporting the development of squash facilities and equipment
- Coaching and Training: Delivering programs for players, coaches, and officials
- Competitions and Events: Organizing and supporting squash events in Africa
The SFA, established in 1992, oversees squash in Africa and the Indian Ocean islands, with 24 member federations. President Lucky Mlilo has welcomed this collaboration, recognizing its potential to benefit African squash.
FindingSquash, a China-based squash exchange and development platform, brings global expertise to the partnership. By combining China’s squash experience with Africa’s growing interest, this collaboration may unlock exciting opportunities for African players and contribute to the sport’s growth.
Notably, squash’s Olympic debut in Los Angeles 2028 adds momentum to this partnership. After months of discussions, the finer details were finalized during the World Squash Juniors championships in Egypt, where SFA President Lucky Mlilo and FindingSquash CEO Thomas Tang met.
FindingSquash has already donated squash equipment to Kenya and is working to support Sierra Leone, demonstrating the partnership’s tangible impact. This collaboration marks a significant step forward for squash in Africa.
